Terms of use

Last updated: 24 October 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the HeyUs app (Android and Windows) and the HeyUs Connect sync service (together, "the Service"), published by El Mehdi KOUHAILI ("the publisher"). By installing or using HeyUs, you accept them.

2. The Service

HeyUs lets you connect your own devices and your loved ones, share what you choose (messages, photos, location, device status), organize the life of a couple, a family or a group (tasks, lists, calendar, expenses…), receive safety alerts and automate actions. Some features depend on your device, its operating system and the permissions you grant.

3. Access, age and devices

4. Consent and respect for others

HeyUs is designed for looking out for each other, never for monitoring someone without their knowledge.

5. Safety: important limits

HeyUs is not an emergency service. SOS, fall or crash detection and alerts notify your loved ones but can fail (battery, network, permissions, system settings, no response). If you are in danger, always call your country's emergency services. Detections are aids and may produce false alerts or fail to trigger.

6. Subscription and trial

7. Availability

The publisher strives to provide a continuous service but does not guarantee it will be free of interruptions (maintenance, outages, network, system updates). It may change, suspend or discontinue a feature; a permanent shutdown of the service would be announced in advance, giving you time to export your data.

8. Suspension

If these terms are breached, in particular through use without consent or abuse, the publisher may suspend a device's access to the HeyUs Connect service.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its logo, its name and its content belong to the publisher; you receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use. Your content remains yours: you only authorize us to transmit and store it in order to run the Service.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages, the loss of data that was not backed up, or the consequences of an alert not received or of use contrary to these terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law of your country grants you as a consumer.

11. Personal data

See the privacy policy and the data protection policy.

12. Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the current version is published on this page with its date, and significant changes are announced in the app. They are governed by the law of the publisher's country, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of your country of residence. Contact: info@heyus.app.
